  • Austin Achieve Public School's registration process requires families of returning scholars -for those who attended an AAPS school in the 2023-24 school year- to verify and update information each school year. By replacing previous paper practices with an online process, the district is reducing paper waste, improving accuracy, increasing efficiency, and saving families time. 
• Families will be able to access the annual registration forms through their Ascender Parent Portal account. 
  • Click on the Registration Icon to start
  • Go to "My Account" to link your missing scholar(s) to your portal account
  • You will need to complete the registration process for each of your enrolled scholars
• If you are still not able to access your Ascender Parent Portal account, please contact the front office or Data & Compliance Team at  512-522-4190 or submit a ticket through Let's Talk (Annual Registration). 

• I do not have access to Ascender Parent Portal. What now?
  • All registered families have access to an Ascender Parent Portal account. The user name will be the parents email address that belongs to the family member designated as the primary contact of returning AAPS scholars. 
  • If you have accessed your portal account previously and do not remember your password, click on the Forgot Password option below the Login button.If you are still not able to access, please contact the Data & Compliance Team at 512-522-4190 or submit a ticket via Let's Talk (Annual Registration).

• How can I update my information if I'm not the primary scholar contact?
  • Only the primary parent/guardian of a scholar will be able to complete the online registration and verification process. Requests to change contact information can be made to the Campus Front Office or to the Data & Compliance Team. 
• What if my email address changed?
  • If you feel you do not have a current email on file with your child's campus, please contact the Campus Front Office. 
• My child isn't coming back to Austin Achieve. Do I still need to complete the Annual Registration Process?
  • No. 
• What if I don't know if my child will return to Austin Achieve next school year?
  • Austin Achieve understands that future plans are not always clear. If you ar unsure whether your child will return to AAPS next school year, please go ahead and complete the annual registration process as though your child will return. If you family moves, please contact your Campus Front Office. 

The Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) encompasses all data requested and received by TEA about public education, including student demographic and academic performance, personnel, financial, and organizational information.

State law requires that every Texas school district adopts an attendance accounting system that includes procedures to ensure the accurate recording and reporting of student attendance data. The Student Attendance Accounting Handbook (SAAH) contains the official attendance accounting requirements that all public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools in Texas must meet. The agency collects student attendance data primarily to ensure that Foundation School Program (FSP) funds can be correctly allocated to Texas’s public schools.
