We offer a rigorous college preparatory curriculum to ensure academic success through wide-ranging intervention programs and support services including four years of daily college prep courses at the high school level. Additionally, our curriculum aligns with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) state standards and all scholars take the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) generated by the Texas Education Agency.

Our longer school day and school year allow our scholars to receive an additional 259 hours of instruction annually.

We are open to all scholars from the majority of the Austin Metropolitan school district boundary zones. Austin Achieve does not base admission on academic, athletic or artistic ability.

Austin Achieve accepts applications year-round. When the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spots, an enrollment lottery is held, and names are drawn at random. Those not selected move to a waiting list. You can apply online or pick up an application at any of our campuses.

New scholars will have the option to sign up for bus transportation during the registration process. Currently enrolled scholars can request transportation directly through their campus Front Office. If you have questions or for more information, please call our offices at (512) 522-4190.

Any currently enrolled scholar at Austin Achieve Public Schools in grades Pre-K3, Pre-K4, Kindergarten, or 5th-grade is eligible to apply for an intradistrict transfer. 

While all enrolled scholars in qualifying grades are eligible for a transfer, this does not guarantee access to transportation (see below for additional transportation information.)

Yes, you are eligible to apply for an intradistrict transfer. If a seat is available at Austin Achieve Elementary School–Northeast, it will be assigned to you. If no seats are available, you will be added to the waitlist with priority status as a currently enrolled scholar.

Intradistrict transfers are processed based on time of submission and seat availability.

If a seat is not available and your intradistrict transfer is not approved, your application will be submitted into the general lottery with priority status. On Lottery Day (Tuesday, February 22, 2022), you will receive your waitlist number and will have to confirm or decline your place on the waitlist.

If you submit your intradistrict transfer after the Enrollment Lottery, and it is not approved, your child will be added to the general waitlist with priority status as a currently enrolled scholar.

If your child’s transfer request is not approved and you decline a spot on the waitlist, your scholar will maintain enrollment at their current campus. 

Yes, a transfer request must be submitted for each scholar. On the intradistrict transfer form, you will have the option to add a request for each enrolled child. 

Requests are approved based on time of submission and enrollment availability; therefore, we can not guarantee that transfer requests for all siblings will be approved simultaneously. Priority status is granted to currently enrolled scholars and siblings of currently enrolled scholars on the waitlist. Please note priority status only guarantees you priority on the waitlist–it does not guarantee you enrollment.

Transfer requests submitted before the Enrollment Lottery will be approved or denied by Wednesday, February 16th, 2022. Families must accept or decline their child’s offer for enrollment or confirm their spot on the waitlist by Saturday, February 19th, 2022. If you do not accept or decline your offer, your scholar will maintain their current enrollment status. 

Transfer requests submitted after the enrollment lottery will be responded to on a rolling basis.

Transfers will be granted on a rolling basis throughout the school year. Your scholar will continue to attend the current campus they are enrolled at until a seat is available. 

The Family and Community Engagement Team will be reaching out to all transfer eligible applicants and confirming campus preference. If you do not hear from a member of the FCE Team by Monday, February 14, 2022, please call (512) 808-3554–do not submit a new application.

No. Austin Achieve does not charge tuition. To provide high-quality educational opportunities for our scholars, we rely on state funding and generous donations from supporters.*

*In accordance with Texas Education Code: §29.1531, Austin Achieve offers tuition-free programming for children from low-income, dual-language, foster, or military families. Children outside of these categories are eligible for tuition-based full-day Pre-K . Pre-K tuition for the 2021-22 school year is $300/month.

Transportation is available free of charge to all scholars. Please note, due to safety constraints, Pre-Kindergarten scholars are not eligible for district-provided transportation.

To the best of our ability, we work with families to identify bus stops and routes that will work for as many scholars as possible.
